JCC Kingswood

One hundred acres on Woods Pond in southern Maine: seven weeks of the most amazing Jewish overnight camp for boys and girls ages 8 to 15. JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood welcomes you for 1, 2, 3-1/2, or 5-1/2 weeks -- or a whole summer of fun activities in sports, outdoor life, and the cultural and creative arts. Kingswood campers arrive with lots of ideas and interests to pursue—and have tons of opportunities to learn new skills and try new things.

Once they arrive, boys and girls participate in the program at a pace appropriate to their age. As they mature, they have more elective choices; the oldest campers have additional electives designed specifically for their needs. Everyone receives Red Cross-approved instructional swim and may participate in free swim under the supervision of trained instructors and lifeguards. Kingswood is proudly Jewish yet strongly pluralistic; campers and staff come from all over, and everyone is welcome—whatever their beliefs, practices or background. Jewish values and themes are presented through dance, arts and crafts, theatre, information discussion, and an elective Israel trip. Even Color War activities have a Jewish accent!
