North Shore Day Camp

The heart of Long Island’s Gold Coast is the setting for North Shore’s magnificent 14 acre country estate. Overlooking the Long Island Sound and alongside the 200 acre Welwyn Nature Preserve, North Shore evokes a warm and special feeling, unique to camping in Nassau County or anywhere else. Since 1943, North Shore Day Camp and School has been a leader in youth development, creating innovative and dynamic programs for pre-schoolers through teenagers.

Summer camp provides children with unique experiences that help them grow, learn, have fun and build lasting relationships. At North Shore Day Camp, we foster the values of sharing, integrity, responsibility and respect. Each summer our campers embark upon a journey that develops a greater sense of self-esteem and self-confidence. When summer ends they will leave camp with new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Our camps’ mission is to teach children the skills of making and keeping friends while building their self-esteem, self-confidence and resilience.
